Muscat sits at a UV index of 10–12 for most of the year. Sunscreen here is not a summer product — it is a daily one, and the wrong texture is the reason most people stop using it. Here is what actually works, grouped by skin type.
Oily or acne-prone skin
- Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF50+ PA++++ — light cream, no white cast, doubles as a moisturiser. The single most reordered sunscreen in our store.
- SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum — watery, absorbs in seconds, ideal under makeup.
Sensitive or redness-prone skin
- La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 — pharmacy-grade, fragrance-free, the dermatologist standard.
- Eucerin Sun Gel-Cream Oil Control SPF50+ — matte finish, fights shine for hours.
Dry skin
- Medicube PDRN Pink Tone-Up Sun Cream — hydrating with a soft pink glow; skip foundation on easy days.
How much and how often
Two finger-lengths for the face and neck, applied as the last skincare step. Reapply every two to three hours when outdoors — a sun stick makes this painless on the go.
Reading the label
SPF covers UVB (burning). PA++++ covers UVA (ageing and dark spots) — in Oman, look for PA++++ every time. Mineral filters (zinc, titanium) suit very reactive skin; modern chemical filters give the invisible finish most people prefer.
All sunscreens in our Sun Care collection are original, batch-fresh and delivered across Oman with cash on delivery.
