How to check a product is authentic
- Check the batch code: genuine products have a printed or embossed batch code and expiry. You can verify batch codes on free tools like CheckFresh or CheckCosmetic.
- Inspect the seal: sealed box, intact safety seal, clean printing. Blurry text or spelling errors are red flags.
- Compare the packaging: colour, font and bottle shape should match the brand's official images exactly.
- Smell and texture: if a product smells off or feels different from what you know, stop using it.
